This past weekend I was blessed to be able to take part in the wedding celebration of Simon & Kerri.  The ceremony took place in the Botanical Garden’s in Devon, Alberta, and the reception was held at the Santa Maria Goretti Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. Both sites turned out to be fantastic, and the wedding was beautiful!

When I first met with Kerri, she really REALLY wanted to have a same day edit shown for all of the guests at the reception.  I was a little bit hesitant, as I had never created one of these before, and I knew that it would be a lot of work in a very short amount of time!

However, the day finally arrived, and I headed up to Edmonton for the wedding.  And the day turned out to be perfect!  Everything went smoothly, and the entire wedding party was great!  Overall it was an amazing day!

The best part for me was when it came time to present the same day edit.  I usually don’t get nervous at weddings, but this time I definitely was sweating a little bit, as I had never shown my work to clients so quickly!  But the lights dimmed, and as the video played, I could tell that they loved it!

Last week Saturday, David & Megan were married! I first met these two when they contacted me to meet and chat about their upcoming wedding!  I remember that Megan had some pretty great ideas, and wasn’t too fond of the photobooth idea:)  They ended up having a TON of fun in the photobooth though, and the images turned out really well!

Megan and David are just too sweet together.  They compliment each other so well, with Megan being the outgoing, dorky, sweet girl she is, and David being a more sincere but good natured man.

This shoot, which we did earlier in the summer,  was a lot of fun, and when they asked if they could bring their two dogs, I said “Of course!”   The dogs are super cute, and together they make a great little family!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Kelsey for a few years now, and over the years we have had lots of fun playing various sports, BBQ’ing, and camping together!  I remember the first days that he started talking about Jill, this awesome girl he had been set up with, and I knew life was going to change for him – in a great way of course!

Getting to know Jill has also been a pleasure, and I can’t imagine not being friends with her now!  Jill is an amazing woman, and is a perfect match for Kelsey in too many ways to list here!

The wedding was in January, and took place at River Park Church.  The reception was at a really great venue, the Venu 1008 in Calgary!

I hope you enjoy the album layout that I have created specifically for them – I feel that it showcases their day very well!

I know it’s been a LONG time since I have posted an update on my site, and I feel bad!  I have been pretty busy lately trying to get everything organized and up to date for this summer!  Speaking of  which, it is going to be a very busy summer for me, as we have weddings booked nearly every weekend for both Cinema | Stills! It’s very exciting, and I am so glad that I will have the opportunities to work  with so many great couples!

Another new thing for this year is going to be that I will be offering new and different albums!  I have signed  on with Queensberry (an album company  based in New Zealand!), and I will be offering a small smattering of their amazing products!  They offer high quality albums, and I can’t wait to see what we can create with some  of our clients this year!

Below you will find images from the album I designed for Alessandro & Laura‘s wedding last summer. I think it turned out very well, and I KNOW that they are very happy with the outcome! It was a great wedding, and I felt very blessed to be a part of it!
